The Borno State Commissioner of Finance, Ahmed Ali Ahmed is dead.
The late commissioner died at the age of 44 years.
The state’s Commissioner of Information and Internal Secretary, Prof Usman Tar, in a statement announcing the death of the commissioner said he died Monday morning in his house.
The statement reads, “Borno State Government wishes to announce the death of Ahmed Ali Ahmed, the State Commissioner of Finance.”
Prof Tar said the deceased will be buried later on Monday at his family house on Damboa Road.
The statement however did not disclose the cause of the Commissioner’s death.
Sources close to the deceased said he died inside his room, adding that his room’s door was forced open when he exceeded his time of coming out before his corpse was later found inside the room.
LEADERSHIP reports that the late Commissioner of Finance died 10 months after the demise of the former Commissioner of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RRR), late Ibrahim Garba, who was found dead in a guest house.
