The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has brought businesswoman and socialite, Aisha Achimugu, before a Federal High Court in Abuja over allegation bordering on money laundering.

LEADERSHIP reports that Achimugu was apprehended by the anti-corruption agency on Tuesday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Achimugu, the Managing Director and CEO of Felak Concept Group, was apprehended around 5a.m. on Tuesday upon arrival from London, marking the culmination of a weeks-long manhunt by the anti-graft agency.

The EFCC had declared her wanted on March 28 over allegations bordering on money laundering with her name and photo subsequently published on the commission’s official platforms, sparking widespread public attention.
