JUST-IN: Emir Of Tikau Dies At 74

The Emir of Tikau in Yobe State, Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Ibn Grema is dead.

A family source confirmed that the Emir died Friday evening at the Specialist Hospital, Potiskum after a prolonged illness that kept him away from the public.

The late traditional ruler left behind three wives, many children and grandchildren.

Meanwhile, the Marafa of Tikau, Alhaji Shaibu Baba Alaraba, has expressed his condolences on the passing of the monarch.

He described the late Emir as a “true leader and a respected figure in the community, known for his wisdom, compassion, and dedication to the well-being of his people.”

He also recognised the late Emir’s contribution to the growth and development of Yobe and the positive impact he had on the community.
