The Kano State Government has postponed resumption date of both primary and post-primary schools for the commencement of 2024/2025 academic session.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment in the state’s Ministry of Education, Balarabe Kiru, on Saturday night.
Kiru quoted the Commissioner of Education, Alhaji Umar Doguwa to have explained that the postponement was due to some urgent reasons.
According to the statement, another day for resumption would soon be announced by the ministry.
“I wish to inform pupils, students and parents that the announcement earlier made for schools resumption on 8th and 9th Sept, 2024 is now being postponed due to some urgent reasons that would help in improving conducive learning atmosphere for our children.
“Another day for the resumption will be announced in due course,” the Commissioner stated.
He appealed to the people concerned, especially students, parents and guardians to bear any inconveniences that may be caused due to the postponement.
