JUST-IN: Lagos DPO Slumps, Dies In Office

A senior operative of the Lagos State Police Command said to be the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in-charge of Ijanikin Police Station, CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, has reportedly died.

It was gathered that CSP Olugbenga collapsed in his office on Thursday night and died before he could be taken to a hospital.

A police source said the sudden death of the Divisional Police Officer has left the officers at the station in mourning.

According to him, “CSP Olugbenga slumped in the office on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, we lost him.”

He, however, added that the deceased DPO’s body had been transferred to a mortuary.

Meanwhile, as of the time of this report, the Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, was yet to issue any formal statement regarding the incident.
