Unknown gunmen suspected to be terrorists have launched an attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State killing several residents including children and women.

A security source told our correspondent on telephone that the deadly attack occurred in the early hours of Monday when the residents of the area were asleep.

Taking to his verified facebook page, a human rights activist, Steven Kefas, first disclosed that no fewer than 25 people feared dead following the terrorist attack.

According to Kefas, the attackers, suspected to be suspected armed herdsmen, reportedly stormed the village at about 1:00 a.m on Monday July 27, 2026, opening fire indiscriminately on residents.

Kefas later said, “Death toll now put at 30. 30 women, children and men slaughtered while innocently asleep in the midnight attack in Naridon village. One family lost six children.
Some houses were also burnt by the Fulani terrorists” he said.
