JUST-IN: Many Feared Killed As ‘Wedding Guest’ Turns Suicide Bomber In Borno

A female suicide bomber on Saturday detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at a wedding venue in Gwoza town, Borno State.

Unconfirmed number of guests have been reportedly killed, while many others suffered varying degrees of injuries in the incident.

A survivor told Channels TV that the bomber was carrying a baby on her back when she stormed the venue and detonated the IED.

The number of dead persons cannot be immediately ascertained, but score of persons who were injured are receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Gwoza.

Security agencies are also yet to comment on the incident as at the time of filing this report.
