Justice Tsammani Heads Presidential Election Petition Tribunal

Warns against sensational comments capable of setting country on fire

Members of the Presidential Election Petition Court sitting at the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal have been unveiled on Monday.

The panel of Justices will be chaired by Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani with Justice Stephen Adah, Justice Bolaji-Yusuf, Justice Moses Ugo, and Justice Abbah Mohammed as members as the Tribunal.

LEADERSHIP reports that the Tribunal will this Monday begin hearing on the petitions filed by aggrieved candidates in the February 25 presidential election.

Presidential Tribunal Begins Hearing Today

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, Justice Tsammani, has called on parties before the court not to make sensational comments that could set the country on fire.

Justice Tsammani, in his inaugural speech during the Tribunal sitting on Monday, assured parties that justice will be given to the one who deserves it.

According to him, counsels in the matter should cooperate with the Tribunal to ensure that the petitions are decided speedily.

Justice Tsammani said, “I want to appeal to everyone in this matter not to make sensational comments that could set the country on fire.

“We on our part too, will ensure that justice is given to the one who deserves it.”
