Justice Tsoho Approves New Judicial Posting Across Federal High Court

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, has approved m new posting schedule for judges of the court to various judicial divisions across the country.

 

This follows the recent appointment of 14 new judges and the reposting of three existing judges of the court,

 

The Chief Judge directed all affected judges to report to their respective new stations on Wednesday, 13th May, 2026.

 

A statement by the Director of Information of the Court, Dr Catherine Oby Christopher, on Friday, indicated that.Justice Hassan Dikko was posted to Gusau in Zamfara state,

Justices Salim Olasupo Ibrahim and Onah Chigozie Sergius are to stay in Abuja, while

Justice Sulaiman Amida Hassan was moved to Osogbo in Osun state.

Similarly, Justice Muhammad Barau Saidu is for Minna in Niger state, Justice Igboko Chinelo Conchita for Akure in Ondo state, Justice Onuegbu Chioma Angela for Yenagoa in Bayelsa, Justice Galumje Edingah for Abakaliki in Ebonyi and Justice Ibrahim Vera Eneabo for Gombe in Gombe state.

 

The Chief Judge moved Justice Abubakar Musa Usman to Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti state,

Justice Salihu Aisha Yunusa to Damaturu in Yobe state, Justice Ikpeme Joy Bassey to Uyo in Akwa Ibom state and Justice Shehu Umaru Adamu to Maiduguri in Borno State.

 

Others are Justice Mohammed Ibrahim Buba for Dutse in Jigawa state, Justice Binjin-Eigegbe Nendelmum Judith to Lokoja in Kogi state and Justices Usoro Kuyik Uduak and

Nwoye Osinachi Donatus for Lagos division of the Court.

 

14 new judges were appointed for the high court to enable it cope with volume of cases that may arise in the pre and post conduct of the 2027 general elections.

 

Their appointment followed the recommendations of the National Judicial Council NJC after a thorough screening of their academic qualifications and the general conduct.

 

Upon their appointment, they were attached to senior judges of the Court for the practical experience of conduct of litigation.
