Justin Bieber has been confirmed as one of the headline performers at the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show, making history as the tournament stages its first-ever official halftime performance.
FIFA and Global Citizen announced that the Canadian pop star will perform alongside Madonna, Shakira and BTS at the July 19 event, which will take place at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
The star-studded line-up also includes Nigerian Grammy winner Burna Boy, renowned Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the PS 22 Chorus and Coldplay. The show, curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, aims to combine football, music and philanthropy while reaching billions of viewers worldwide.
According to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the halftime show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which expands access to education and football opportunities for children. More than $50 million has already been raised, with a target of $100 million. FIFA will also donate $1 from every ticket sold for World Cup 2026 matches to the initiative.
Bieber said he is honoured to perform at an event that will help children gain access to education, while Burna Boy described his participation as a proud opportunity to represent Africa on a global stage.
The show will also feature Sesame Street and The Muppets characters and is being produced by Global Citizen in partnership with Live Nation and Done + Dusted.
