Kaduna Community Releases Names Of 14 Kidnap Victims

The names of kidnapped residents of Dogon Noma Uungwan Gamo community of Kauru local government area in Kaduna State has been released.

A sister publication, LEADERSHIP SUNDAY reported yesterday that an unspecified number of persons were kidnapped from the community on Saturday at 6:00am when a large number of bandits invaded the area.

A former chairman of the local government area, Hon. Cafra Caino, had confirmed the attack but could not ascertain the number of the victims.

But yesterday he disclosed 14 persons were kidnapped while one sustained various degrees of injuries from the attack.

A breakdown of the list showed that most of the victims were women.

Caino gave their names to include; Bulus Dandaura, Murna Bulus, Donald Bulus, Labari Audu, Zainabu Dauda, Dorcas Titus, Jummai Garba, Felicia Wanzami, Ruth Thomas, Esther Oliver, Comfort Babangida, Mrs Yakubu Pama, Abaza Monday, Christy Samuel while Mr Jibrin Dauda sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital for medical attention.

Meanwhile, the Kaduna State police public relations officer ASP Mansir Hassan is yet to confirm the attack and the abduction as his phone number could not be reached at the time of filing this report.

Also at the time of filing this report yesterday, the state government was yet to release any official statement on the incident.
