Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, has appointed his former Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. James Atung Kanyip, as new Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs and Ibrahim Tanko Mohamed as Finance Commissioner.
The governor said the new appointments were to re-energise his administration and further enhance service delivery.
In a statement issued by the governor’s
Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, on Saturday, he said the governor also appointed Barde Yunana Markus as Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs.
Others appointed were Farida Abubakar Ahmed, Executive Director (Radio), Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC); Vitus Azuka Ewuzie, Senior Special Assistant, Legal Matters; Francis Damina, Senior Special Assistant, Research and Documentation; Hon Victor Mathew Bobai, Senior Special Assistant, Public Affairs.
Also, Abdulmutallib Isah – Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties, and Abdulhaleem Ishaq Ringim – Special Assistant, Economic Matters.
While congratulating the new appointees, Governor Sani urged them to see the appointments as an opportunity to contribute their quota towards bettering the lives of the poor, vulnerable and underserved in Kaduna State.
The governor further urged the appointees to deploy their skills and competences to help the administration quicken the pace of governance in order to leave a legacy of inclusive development.
