Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has unveiled two documents, the Women Peace and Security Action Plan (KAD-SAP WPS II) and Youth Peace and Security Action Plan (KAD-SAP YPS) aimed at promoting peace and security in the state.
The governor explained that the documents were part of the government’s efforts to achieve sustainable peace-building processes.
Represented by the commissioner for human services and social development, Hon. Rabi Salisu who spoke on the commemoration of the International Day of Peace, he said the documents reflect collective commitment to ensure that peace, justice, and human rights are upheld.
“Today we are gathered to celebrate a fundamental human aspiration for peace on this International Day of Peace, we reaffirm our commitment to harmony, understanding and cooperation in our society. As we strive for peace, we recognise the resilience of humanity in the face of conflict and inequality, the power of diversity and shared aspirations for a better world and the importance of empathy, compassion, and inclusive dialogue,” he said.
