“We are expecting about 60 to 70 teams , but we are mostly likely going to take 50 out of 70 that showed interest.”

“We are calling on the people of Kaduna and Nigeria to join us on the 31st for the opening ceremony.”

The President of Kaduna Polo Club, Mohammed Babangida assures that this tournament will be better than the previous editions. “We are ready to do it better this time around,” Babangida said.

The former President of the Club, Alhaji Suleiman Abubakar, noted that the pitch has been under construction for the past two years to bring it up to the international standard.

“We didn’t play polo last year because the field was not in good shape but this year we are ready, we are here for just opening of the ground to show people that the pitch is ready for the tournament. The pitch in it present condition is better than it has ever been. The pitch is fantastic”.
