Chairman of the group, Professor Nate Danjuma who led the peaceful protest to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, said that their members were dying of hunger.

“We are giving Governor Uba Sani two weeks to pay our entitlements or else we will occupy the Government House.

“Our members are paralysed, our families are disintegrated, some are going blind, we are sick and we don’t have money to take care of ourselves and families,” Professor Danjuma lamented.

Some of the retirees who also spoke narrated their plights, saying that they feed from hand to mouth.

The Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, CP Muhammad Rabiu who addressed the protesting retirees thanked them for holding a peaceful protest.

He assured them that the Kaduna State governor, Senator Uba Sani will look into their demands.
