The Administrator of Kafanchan Municipal Authority, Mrs Phoebe Sukai Yayi, has awarded three road contracts in Zonkwa , in Zangon Kataf local government, as part of efforts to meet the infrastructure needs of the town.
The road projects include the construction of Zonkwa market to town hall road and the construction of Kurmin Bi – Baptist Church road, which have been awarded to M/S Embryo Nig Ltd.
On the other hand, the construction of Kurmin Bi (opposite Catholic Church) – Massalachi road in Zonkwa was awarded to Shiyuma Big Ltd.
It will be recalled that the latest contract award is coming about a month after Mrs Yayi had flagged off the construction of 2,275 kilometre roads and a mini stadium in Kafanchan town.
The Administrator had promised that roads will be constructed in Zonkwa, in Zangon Kataf local government, but that the road project for Kagoro in Kaura local government has reached an advanced stage in the procurement process.
Mrs Yayi advised the contractors handling the Zonkwa road project to execute the contracts to specification and within the agreed time, so as to ease movement of goods and vehicles in the town.
Kafanchan Municipal Authority comprises Jema’a, Kaura and Zangon Kataf local government areas.
