He assured that the 10th House would give legal backing to policies that wouldl enhance the capacity of the youth towards achieving sustainable development and socioeconomic growth in the country.

Kalu also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating several youths to be part of his cabinet.

In another development, the deputy speaker has described his aide, Cyril Kwubiri who died recently as his companion and confidant whose loyalty was unwavering.

Paying glowing tribute to the deceased during the burial of his remains at Etitiulo, Isiala Bende in Bende federal constituency of Abia State yesterday, Kalu who represents the area in the House said that Kwubiri was not just an aide but a younger brother with whom he shared his dreams, aspirations, and countless memories.

Kwubiri who died at 37 years old is survived by his wife, a child, aged mother and siblings.

In the tribute titled “In Remembrance of Cyril Kwubiri”  the deputy speaker said the death was a personal loss to him, stressing that Bende federal constituency had also lost a worthy son “who always put the interests of our people first, and who believed in the potential and promise of our land.

“It is with an immense sense of grief and profound sorrow that I pen this tribute to an exceptional soul, Mr. Cyril Kwubiri. Life sometimes brings forth irreplaceable pillars, and Cyril was one of such pillars for me.

“Representing Bende Federal Constituency and serving as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, I have been blessed to encounter many individuals. Yet, a few have left an indelible impact as Cyril. For several years, he stood by my side, not just as an aide, but as a trusted companion, a confidant, and a beacon of unwavering loyalty.

“Cyril’s professional attributes were beyond commendable. His resourcefulness, diligence, and enterprising spirit were evident to all who had the privilege of working with him. In the volatile world of politics, Cyril was my bedrock of reliability, constantly reminding me of the values we campaigned for and the vision we shared for our beloved constituency.

“But more than the accolades and professional milestones, it was Cyril’s personal warmth and genuine care that made him unique. To me, he was not just an aide; he was family. He was like a younger brother with whom I shared dreams, aspirations, and countless memories. His optimism was a source of inspiration, and his dedication, a benchmark for all.

“Losing Cyril is not just a personal loss. Bende Federal Constituency has lost a true son, a champion who always put the interests of our people first, and who believed in the potential and promise of our land.

“Today, as we mourn, I also want to celebrate Cyril. Celebrate his life, his contributions, and the countless lives he touched. While the pain of his departure is immeasurable, the legacy he leaves behind is immense. His life serves as a testament to what passion, dedication, and genuine love for one’s community can achieve.

“Cyril, you may have left this earthly realm, but your spirit, your dreams, and your aspirations live on. Your memory will forever be a beacon, guiding us towards a better tomorrow.”
