The youths were alleged to have turned the exercise to a looting spree after the demolition of some structures by the state government.

The accused were arraigned before Magistrate Court 35 Nomansland yesterday and charged with offences ranging from criminal trespass, shop breaking, mischief and theft.

The police public relations officer, Haruna Kiyawa said the suspects were arrested at various locations in Kano metropolis.

He said the command will not fold its arms and watch perpetration of criminal activities in the state.
