Kano Football Teams Win Tour To Ghana, Niger

In the just concluded promotional football tour that took place in Kaduna, for the North Western Nigeria, aimed at campaign against drug abuse all participating teams have secured an invitational football tour to Ghana, Senegal and Niger Republic for West African campaign.

The competition which was organized by Drugs Free Community Awareness of Nigeria in collaboration with the States FA, series of matches have taken place.

This involved teams from Kano, Kaduna and Katsina states to mark this year’s successful campaign exercise, with teams from Rogo, Tsanyawa, Kumbotso, Gaya, Nassarawa, Gabasawa, Kibiya from Kano State.

Others include Danja LG from Katsina state and Chikun and Igabi local government areas of Kaduna state.

Over the years such football campaign tours resulted into clubs travelling to Africa and Asia from Nigeria and several of the players were picked to continue their professional football careers abroad especially in Accra, Niamey, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha

 

Hon Jibrin Falgore Football Club, Marafan Danja FC and Kumbotso Stars excelled beyond imagination in series of matches that took place and they were the early teams to secure success in Murtala Square venue of the event in Kaduna.

 

Speaking during the occasion the Secretary General of Drugs Free Campaign Organisation, Mallam Muhammad Muhammad, urge the participants to utilize the knowledge they acquired and the materials given for the campaign to continue propagating the gospel of drugs free society within the youth in their areas.

 

More so, representatives of Kano States Football Association, Alhaji Hassan Abdullahi promised the organisers that teams from Kano State will surely honour the international football invitations as usual.
