As part of his commitment towards fighting corruption, the Kano State governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has directed the immediate suspension of the managing director, Kano Agricultural Supply Company (KASCO) Dr Tukur Dayyabu Minjibir.
The governor directed the suspension in a letter dated 12th September, 2023 and conveyed by the secretary to the Kano State government Dr Abdullahi Baffa Bichi.
The managing director was suspended for alleged involvement in an inappropriate sale of grains belonging to the state government worth millions of naira.
He was directed to handover the affairs of the company to the immediate most senior officer to him pending the outcome of further investigation.
