Kano Govt Demolishes More Structures In Nasarawa, Dukawuya, Others

Kano State government under Governor Abba Yusuf has continued the demolition of illegal structures across the state.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appealed to the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in the 2023 elections, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, to sheathe the sword on the demolition of illegal structures in the state.

Tinubu was said to have at the initial stage, spoke with former governor Umar Ganduje and Senator Kwankwaso over the issue at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.  

The latest demolition in the list of structures demolished are shops built besides the fence of Sani Abacha Stadium at Kofar Mata, GSS Kofar Nasarawa facing IBB road and buildings by GGSS Dukawuya, Goron Dutse.

Eyewitnesses said that the exercise was carried out in the early hours of Sunday by KNUPDA under the instruction of the state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
