The Kano State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has criticized the Saturday, October 26, 2024 local government elections in the state, describing it as totally lacking all democratic processes.

PDP stated this on Monday through its new chairman, Yusuf Kibiya, at the maiden press conference after his election as chairman of the party in Kano State.

“Everyone saw what happened in the name of local government elections in the state. Democratic process was completely truncated and it was not free and fair.

“There was no democracy, there was complete absence of democratic process, that was why we shunned the election because it lacked integrity,” he stated.
