The Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kano State Command, Ibrahim Abubakar, has stressed the need for officers to maintain integrity while on duty post for Service officers.
This is even as he maintained that integrity in the workplace builds trust between stakeholders, maintains a positive reputation, encourages transparency and promotes fairness.
Speaking during the opening of a two-day workshop on ethical compliance and quality service delivery to mitigate corruption for officers at the Mallam Kano International Airport, Comptroller Abubakar said the airports are the key gateways to the nation, hence the need to explore strategies for ensuring national security and fostering public trust.
He tasked participants to uphold the values of transparency, accountability, and professionalism while carrying out their duties.
“Our objective is to build a robust culture that aligns with these principles, reinforcing our commitment to serving the public with the highest ethical standards. Your participation and insights are invaluable as we work together to strengthen our service and uphold the values that define us.
“Engage in practical solutions that will drive positive change within our ranks and across our international airports,” he added.
