Governorship aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Muhammad Bello Dalha, has formally submitted his nomination form, promising to tackle the growing menace of illicit drug abuse and youth violence in Kano State if elected governor.

Speaking during the submission of his governorship nomination form, Dalha said his ambition was motivated by a genuine desire to improve the living conditions of ordinary citizens and provide purposeful leadership for the state.

He expressed concern over the increasing rate of drug abuse and “fadan daba” among youths, describing the situation as a serious threat to families and communities across Kano State.

“We must confront the growing problem of illicit drug abuse and fadan daba. These challenges are destroying lives, families, and communities,” he said.

Dalha pledged that his administration would collaborate with parents, religious and traditional leaders, community stakeholders, and security agencies to provide rehabilitation, awareness campaigns, guidance, and opportunities for young people.

The aspirant also outlined plans to prioritize women and children’s welfare through improved healthcare services, support for vulnerable families, expanded access to education, and empowerment programs for widows, mothers, and young girls.

On youth development, he promised massive investment in ICT, entrepreneurship, agriculture, vocational training, and innovation-driven initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment and restoring hope among young people.

“Our youths are energetic, talented, and full of potential, but many lack opportunities. We intend to equip them with modern and practical skills that can create jobs and improve their future,” he stated.

Dalha further assured residents that security would remain a major priority under his administration, noting that stronger support would be given to security agencies and community-based leadership structures to ensure safer communities and peaceful coexistence.

He also pledged support for traders, artisans, entrepreneurs, and business owners through policies that would create a more enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

Addressing civil servants, the PDP aspirant promised prompt payment of salaries, improved working conditions, training opportunities, and better welfare packages to motivate the workforce.

“This aspiration is not about personal ambition. It is about service, responsibility, and the future of Kano State,” Dalha added while calling for unity and collective effort toward building a peaceful and prosperous state.

Muhammad Bello Dalha is seeking the governorship ticket of the People’s Democratic Party ahead of the next electoral cycle in Kano State.
