Kano Pillars, Lobi Stars, Tornadoes, Others Storm Abuja For Unity Tournament

Former Nigeria Champions Kano Pillars, Lobi Stars, Niger Tornadoes, Nasarawa United and Plateau United will lead the crop of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clubs that will be in Abuja from August 11 to 18, 2024 for the 4th Unity Preseason Tournament.

Confirming this in Abuja, the tournament’s mobilization coordinator, Kola Daniel, said all the participating teams have express readiness to take part in the tournament which is the flagship tournament in the Northern conference.

He said other teams like Katsina United, Mighty Jets, EFCC who are the defending champions will be part of the tournament.

Mr Daniel, who is the Media Aide to the Minister of Sports of Development, said few NLO clubs will be given the opportunity to be part of the tournament to enable them expose their players.

“The tournament is a ten team tournament. We are expecting six NPFL teams, two NNL teams and two NLO clubs. In days to come, we would unveil our partners who will support us in organizing the best of tournaments,” Daniel said.
