According to a statement released on Saturday by the command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the breakthrough came on September 11 when tactical operatives, acting on intelligence, apprehended the suspects at Na’ibawa Quarters in Kano.

The suspects, identified as Mathew Adewole, 25, of Naibawa Quarters, and Mukhtar Muhammad, 31, of Unguwa Uku Quarters, were allegedly involved in the brutal August 19 attack on Lagos resident and entertainer, Lil-Kesh.

He said during the robbery, Adewole reportedly inflicted a severe neck wound on the victim and forced a transfer of N2,120,000 to Muhammad’s account via mobile banking.

He noted that Adewole has since confessed to the crime, which was initially under investigation by the Lagos State Police Command.

ā€œFollowing their arrest, both suspects have been handed over to Lagos authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
