Kano Schools Resume Today

Kano State Ministry of Education has approved today as the resumption date for all boarding public/private primary and post primary schools in the state for the commencement of the second term academic session.

This was contained in a statement signed by the director, enlightenment of the ministry and made available to newsmen yesterday in Kano.

The statement added that pupils and students in day schools are to resume tomorrow, January 9.

While expressing appreciation for the cooperation and support being accorded to the ministry, the commissioner, Rt Hon Ya’u Abdullahi Yan’shana urged parents/guardians of pupils and students to ensure compliance with the approved resumption dates.

The commissioner who also wished the pupils and students successful commencement of the second term academic session, however, warned that appropriate disciplinary actions would be taken against defaulting students.
