On Tuesday, Governor Yusuf asked for diplomatic synergy when he hosted the first secretary of migration of the Embassy of The Netherlands in Nigeria, Ms Eva De Wit.

The spokesperson to the governor, Sanusi Bature, in a statement issued to journalists yesterday, said the governor noted the impact-driven landmark the country had recorded in agriculture and climate change in Europe.

The governor pledged his desire for such feats to be replicated in Kano.

Yusuf used the visit to roll out some of the initiatives anchored by his administration to refocus on the productivity of the youth population in Kano and food security.

While intimating to the Dutch delegation the level of devastating indices of drug abuse inherited from the immediate past administration, Governor Yusuf said 24 skill acquisition centres have been reopened to gainfully empower the youths.
