Katsina State House of Assembly has successfully passed 54 bills and 324 motions during its four-year term. Speaker Hon. Tasi’u Maigari Zango announced this achievement during the valedictory session of the 7th Assembly. According to Zango, over 80 percent of the bills received assent from the governor.
Among the notable bills passed are the “Katsina State House of Assembly Commission Law,” “Law to Promote Children’s Access to Basic Education and for Connected Matters,” “Katsina State Safety and Road Traffic Authority Law,” and “Katsina State Revenue Harmonization Law,” among others.
Zango further highlighted that out of the 324 motions sent to the executive, 74 were successfully implemented. He commended the 7th Assembly, stating that it is the best in the history of the state.
The speaker expressed his gratitude to the members for their tremendous support and cooperation throughout their tenure.
Zango also acknowledged the partnership and dedication of former governor Aminu Bello Masari, whose contributions played a significant role in the assembly’s accomplishments.
