The Katsina Emirate Council yesterday turbaned three newly-appointed district heads at a ceremony attended by top dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond.

The event, held at the palace of the Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, attracted the presence of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and his Kano State counterpart, Abba Kabir Yusuf, alongside prominent traditional rulers, political leaders and business figures.

Those turbaned include Alhaji Ahmad Abdulmumini Kabir Usman as Danmajen Katsina and District Head of Dankama; Alhaji Muhammadu Dikko Radda as Gwagwaren Katsina II and District Head of Radda; and Alhaji Abubakar Dardisu as Sarkin Mudurun Katsina and District Head of Muduru.

Speaking at the ceremony, the emir described the gathering as unprecedented, noting that it was the largest crowd witnessed during his reign.

He called on the people to promote unity, uphold Islamic values, and avoid actions capable of causing division within society.

The monarch also urged traditional and religious leaders to sustain efforts towards peace, stability and development in the emirate.
