The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) permanent orientation camp in Katsina state is fully ready to receive the next batch of prospective corps members and officials for the commencement of the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream II orientation course.
LEADERSHIP reports that the NYSC had on Monday announced the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream II deployment of Corps members.
The camp premises have been fumigated to ensure that the choking odour of the chemicals would have subsided within the next four days when the prospective Corps members would start arriving.
Speaking with journalists after inspecting the ongoing rehabilitation exercise at the orientation camp, the NYSC Coordinator in the State, Hajiya Aisha Muhammad, said the fumigation exercise was expected to get rid of all dangerous insects and reptiles that might be around the premises.
She added that the exercise will also cover the administrative block, the clinic, the registration hall, the OBS, and the staff quarters.
“We are using the Federal Fire Service to ensure a thorough fumingation of the entire camp premises to attain a secured environment for a hitch free exercise.
“As you can see, the damaged parts of the Camp Pavilion are also being renovated in preparation for the commencement of the orientation programmes,” she stated.
