Stakeholders in Katsina State have called on the federal government to re-award abandoned projects and intensify efforts in the fight against banditry.
This was disclosed during a town hall meeting with personal assistant to President Bola Tinubu on constituency affairs, Khadija Kareem, held in Katsina yesterday.
The stakeholders also urged the federal government to implement intervention programmes, create jobs, and support Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state.
In response, Khadija Kareem assured the stakeholders that she would take their concerns to the president, highlighting that the federal government has various programmes to address the challenges faced by the people.
She urged the stakeholders to give the government more time to address their concerns.
Also, the Katsina State acting governor, Faruq Lawal, thanked her for visiting the state and listening to the stakeholders’ challenges, emphasising that the state government is also working to address some of the challenges.
