Kebbi State Commission for Persons With Disabilities is set to empower people living with disabilities with funds and motorcycles to make them self reliant.

This was disclosed by the commissioner for Special Duties,  Alhaji Zayyanu Aleiro during a press briefing held yesterday in Birnin Kebbi

Aleiro said, the empowerment programme is to commemorate World Disabilities Day which is observed on every December 3 .

According to the commissioner,  the office of the First Lady,  Mrs Remi Tinubu under its Renewed Hope Agenda has donated 250 packages in addition to the 1000 bags of rice and 100 motorcycles from the state government to the programme.

” All the packages would be shared to 1000 beneficiaries across the twenty one local government areas of Kebbi State by the commission during the programme ” Aleiro said.

This programme will empower people with disabilities in line with First Lady’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Kaura-led administration in uplifting the livelihood of people particularly disabled persons in the society.

The commissioner called on people in the state to continue to support  the present administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris.
