Kebbi Commission Honours Council Chairmen, Directors, Others

Kebbi State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) has presented awards of dedication to duty for two years to the local government area chairmen, two directors and one of the commission’s permanent commissioners.

While presenting the awards to the beneficiaries in his office in Birnin Kebbi, the chairman of the commission, Alhaji Shafi’u Garba, said the recipients emerged victorious after a rigorous screening and evaluation process conducted across the 21 local government areas of the state.

He said, “We visited all 21 councils in the state and discovered that only two council chairmen met the criteria of the award, two directors and one commissioner in the Local Government Service Commission of the state.”

The awardees, according to the commission’s chairman, are the chairman of Ngaski, Koko/Besse councils, the director of Works of Ngaski council, the director of Finance of Koko/Besse LG, as well as the permanent commissioner II in the commission.

Garba commended Governor Nasir Idris for his continued support of the commission and for fostering an environment which allowed it to discharge its responsibilities effectively.
