The last batch of the Kebbi State intending pilgrims for this year’s Hajji exercise have left Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport Ambursa in Birnin Kebbi to Madina which marked the final pilgrims airlift for the year 2026.
The First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Nasare Nasir Idris, Amirul-Hajji, Ahmad Jega, Chairman PWA, Faruku Musa Enabo, pilgrims from Suru and Maiyama local government areas, government officials and some staff of PWA were all in the last flight.
A source in the airport disclosed that the last flight left Ambursa International Airport Tuesday night and was expected to land at King Abdulaziz International Airport Jidda in Saudi Arabia in the early hours of Wednesday.
Our correspondent reports that the final departure of the last pilgrims witnessed the presence of family members, well wishers , religious leaders and officials who gathered at the airport and offered prayers for all the pilgrims from the state wishing them safe return.
Speaking before boarding, the First Lady, Hajiya Nasare Nasir Idris thanked Allah for giving her another opportunity to perform this year’s Hajj.
She commended her husband, governor Nasir Idris for his commitment towards ensuring smooth airlift exercise.
