The first lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, has distributed free JAMB forms to over 2,700 indigent students across the state. The beneficiaries, drawn from the 21 local government areas, are aspiring to write the JAMB examination for university admission.

At the flag-off ceremony, Hajiya Nasir emphasised the importance of quality education, stating, “The current administration prioritizes the development of the education sector and quality education.” She urged students to work hard to pass their examinations, especially WAEC, saying, “Possessing JAMB forms does not guarantee automatic university admission without the necessary qualifications.”

Represented by the commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Professor Halima Muhammad Bande, the first lady called on organizers to guide students on appropriate subject combinations. Chairman of Kauran Gwandu Advocacy Forum (KAGAF), Comrade Monsur Sarki Gwandu, highlighted the organisation’s efforts to improve education standards, saying, “This is the fourth edition of the programme, and we urge beneficiaries to fill the forms with the correct subject combinations.”

Donations were made by several individuals, including Alhaji Bello Nahaliku, Accountant-General of Kebbi State, who donated N3 million, and Abdulrasheed Bala, Coordinator, NASARA Foundation, who donated N1 million.
