He said the state government through the Ministry of Works in collaboration with the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy would work toward finding a lasting solution to the menace.

According to the governor, the best way to tackle the lingering problem is to construct a channel at the flood prone areas that will facilitate free flow of water into the rivers.

Over 315 houses were affected by the flood in the area.

Similarly, the governor had a stopover at Rijiya Maikabbi village in Dandi local government area to sympathise with another set of flood victims and donated N10 million to them.
