Kebbi Governor Confirms 17 Acting Chief Executives

Kebbi State governor Nasir Idris has confirmed the appointment of 17 chief executives who have been serving in an acting capacity since their appointments.

A circular from the office of the Head of Civil Service signed by the director, Rashidu Muhammad Bala, and made available to reporters in Birnin Kebbi indicated that the confirmed list consists of one permanent secretary, 10 general managers, seven executive secretaries, and an executive director.

It added that the governor’s action aligned with the mission to stop the practice of prolonged acting appointment in the state civil service, which complies with the established laws.

The circular also contained the governor’s approval of implementing a new salary scale for the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology( KSUSTA) Aleiro and the State Polytechnic, Dakingari.

This followed the federal government’s circular No-SWC/04/195/ and 198 dated 23rd September, 2024.
