Kebbi State governor Nasir Idris has said his administration will soon recruit 2,000 Grade 11, NCE, and graduate teachers to serve across the state.

He said the essence is to shore up the number of teachers in schools across the state.
The governor disclosed this at the commissioning of V- Schools in Nagari College Birnin Kebbi.

He lamented that when he went round some schools across the state recently had noticed that most of the classrooms were empty due to lack of adequate teachers.

He therefore directed the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to conduct the recruitment exercise with immediate effect.
