Kebbi State government has commenced in earnest the construction of 250 housing units in the state capital under the Kauran Gwandu Housing Estate project.
The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Land and Housing, Ahmed Yarima Dakingari, who confirmed the development yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, said the landmark initiative underscores Governor Nasir Idris’ commitment to expanding access to affordable and decent housing for Kebbi citizens.
He added that the initiative is also stimulating economic growth through job creation and infrastructure development to address the growing housing deficit in the state capital, Birnin Kebbi.
Yarima also noted that the Kauran Gwandu Housing Estate is expected to provide modern, well-planned residential units equipped with essential amenities in order to sustain urban development.
“This effort reflects the administration of Governor Nasir Idris’s broader vision of enhancing social welfare, strengthening infrastructure, and fostering inclusive growth across Kebbi State,” he said.
