The chairman of Birnin Kebbi local government area in Kebbi State, Hon. Muhammad Dahiru Ambursa has urged people in the local government to sustain the virtues and lessons learnt during the last Ramadan period.
The chairman made the appeal when he spoke with journalists at his residence in Ambursa in commemoration of Sallah celebrations.
According to him, Ramadan has taught many Muslims how to live with one another with affection, love, unity and togetherness.
“So, we call on the people of Birnin Kebbi to continue to exhibit these teachings even beyond the period of Ramadan,” Ambursa urged.
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing the chairman of the state APC, Muhammed Abubakar Kana Zuru, as board chairman of one of the newly established universities in the country.
He described the appointment as a clear indication of good rapport between the president and the governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris.
Ambursa also expressed optimism that both President Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris will clinch their positions as the President and Governor, respectively, come 2027, going by what they have done for the people in Kebbi State and the country as a whole.
He also urged the people of his local government to remain calm as Governor Idris is ready to transform the local government system so that people at the grassroots would enjoy the dividends of his administration.
