Speaking during the presentation of the award at the agency’s headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, the state Commander, Alhaji Rabiu Abdullahi Sokoto, stated that the award would encourage the officers to be more productive in discharging their duty.

The commander said, in line with the leadership style of the agency chairman, General Buba Marwa Rtd, every quarter of the year, names of hardworking personnel were drawn from all the state commands and sent to the national headquarters for an award of excellence, and that was why states keyed into rewarding the deserving personnel.

He said that hard work deserves commendation, and he believes that any officer who needs commendation should work hard as the award presentation would be on an annual basis.

While commending the officers of the command for hard work and dedication to duty, the Commander challenged them to redouble their efforts in the fight against drugs in the state.
