The PDP campaign council in Kebbi State yesterday said it had uncovered a plan by some people to rig the gubernatorial and state assembly elections today.

Director general of the campaign council, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu while addressing journalists in Birnin Kebbi,  said the council received information that such people intend to hijack the process by prevailing on election officials to  cause delay in the BVAS accreditation process, add unaccredited voters to cause outright cancellation of such polling units and disrupt voting in units perceived to be PDP strongholds among others.

He added that the move was planned to take place in 16 local government areas of the state in collaboration with unscrupulous election officials.

He called on the resident electoral commissioner,  the police,  DSS and other stakeholders to investigate it with a view to arresting the culprits and taking appropriate action to ensure hitch-free elections in the state.
