The abducted student of Authur Jarvis University yesterday regained freedom from his abductors.
The student was kidnapped on July 20 while returning to the hostel from where he went to read for the semester examination and was whisked away by armed gunmen to one of the creeks in Akpabuyo in Cross River State.
Authur Javis University, located about 18 kilometers from the state capital, is the first private university in the state.
The police spokesman, SP Irene Ugbo, confirmed the release, warning that the police won’t relent in it’s effort to keep the state safe from criminals.
