The bloody incident occurred at about 7 pm on Jakpa Road, Uwvie local government area of Delta State.

According to an eyewitness, “The security personnel and the woman’s driver were instantly shot dead before whisking the wife of the lawmaker, Christy, away. But unfortunately for them (kidnappers), their getaway car had an accident which enabled the woman to escape.”

Passersby were seen wailing beside the woman’s SUV, watching the horrifying scene and corpses of the shot policemen and driver.
