Disturbed by the recurring cases of kidnapping and attack, Kebbi State governor, Nasir Idris, has summoned an emergency security meeting to address the insecurity challenges the state.
The meeting which involved all heads of security agencies and personnel in the local government offices, local government councils chairmen and the vigilantes of the state was held at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.
The government said it was part of the governor’s proactive measures to ensure the protection of life and property of the people across the state.
It added that the meeting reflected the governor’s consistent approach of regularly reviewing the state’s security landscape to identify emerging security lapses, assess ongoing operations and implement effective measures to ensure peace, stability and public safety in the state.
