Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner Demand $7 Million from Ray J Over Secret Sex Tape Deal

The legal war between the Kardashian camp and Ray J has reached a boiling point, as new court documents reveal a massive financial demand over a breach of their confidential 2023 agreement.

According to a legal demand letter obtained by TMZ, dated October 3, 2025, Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, are demanding that Ray J pay them a total of $7 million. The letter claims the singer violated a strict non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that prohibited any of the parties from speaking publicly about their infamous sex tape or making false claims regarding the deal.

The documents pull back the curtain on a 2023 settlement where Kim and Kris initially agreed to pay Ray J $6 million in exchange for his silence. The payment structure was set in instalments

$3 million paid within 30 days of the agreement.

$1 million in April 2024.

$1 million in April 2025.

A final $1 million is scheduled for 2026.

However, the relationship soured in May 2025. Kim and Kris’s legal team sent a notice demanding the immediate return of the $5 million already paid to Ray J. They also tacked on an additional $2 million, $1 million each for Kim and Kris, as a penalty for his alleged breaches of the NDA.

The tension peaked in October 2025 after Ray J reportedly discussed the deal during a livestream. The Kardashians’ attorneys subsequently informed him that they were withholding the final $1 million payment due in 2026 and re-emphasised their demand for the full refund of his prior earnings from the deal.

The disclosure follows a defamation lawsuit filed by Kim and Kris late last year after Ray J claimed they were the subjects of a federal racketeering investigation. Ray J has since countersued, denying defamation and accusing the mother-daughter duo of breaking the secret agreement first by discussing the tape on their Hulu reality series.
