Members of the Kogi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have expressed full support for the party’s National Chairman, Senator David Mark, passing a vote of confidence in his leadership and clarifying that no court action has been instituted against him or the party’s National Executive Council.
The declaration was made at a stakeholders’ meeting attended by senior party figures, including former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye, who moved the motion, and Engr. Dr Samuel Uhotu of Kogi Central, who seconded it. Other attendees included National Vice Chairman (North Central), Senator Tunde Ogbeha; former Deputy Governor, Simon Achuba; State Chairman, Chief Kingsley Temitope Ogga; and prominent ADC members from Kogi Central, West, and East.
Senator Ogbeha commended Senator Mark’s leadership, saying, “Senator Mark has provided steady direction for our party, and the Kogi chapter stands firmly behind him.”
The Kogi ADC also distanced itself from reports of a court case against the party, emphasising that the vote of confidence reinforces party unity and demonstrates unwavering support for the national leadership. The chapter stressed that any contrary reports do not reflect the reality within the ADC at either the state or national level.
