The general manager of the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KGCSDA), Alhaji Momoh Dauda , has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his equitable distribution of life-changing projects across the 21 local government areas of the state.
He spoke in Okene during the opening of a two-day capacity training for local and state government officials ahead of the implementation of the Nigeria Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) Programme 2.0 under the Additional Financing window of the World Bank.
Dauda stated that significant achievements were made during the implementation of the 1.0 programme, emphasising that over 2.5 million people benefited from the projects, which were implemented across the 21 councils.
He stated that the commencement of NG-CARES 2.0 will build upon the successes recorded under NG-CARES 1.0 in Kogi State under the administration of Ododo.
The GM maintained that NG-CARES 1.0 delivered impactful, community-driven interventions that enhanced livelihoods, improved access to basic services, strengthened social protection mechanisms, and boosted economic resilience across rural and vulnerable communities in the state.
