Kogi Guber: Awoniyi Congratulates Ododo, Says Victory Proof Of Hard Work

Former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi has sent a congratulatory message to Usman Ahmed Ododo, on his victory at the just concluded Governorship election.

LEADERSHIP reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, was declared the winner of the election.

Ododo polled a total votes of 446,237 to defeat his closest challenger, Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who scored 259,052 votes, with the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dino Melaye, emerging a distant third with 46,362 votes.

Awoniyi in a statement issued to journalists in Lokoja, the state capital, described the victory as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and the trust that the people of Kogi State have on the Governor-Elect.

“I congratulate the leader of our party, the APC, Governor Yahaya Bello for leading us to victory. His sermon for a violence-free election was clearly manifested.

“Once again, congratulations on your election as Governor of Kogi State. Many are excited for what the future holds under your leadership. God bless Kogi State”, Awoniyi stated.
